To me, Landcare means community, regeneration and hope — proving small village groups can create inspiring spaces reconnecting people with nature. Come rain or shine, Aquarius Park Landcare volunteers have gathered monthly for almost two years, building friendships through a shared love of the environment. Our work has regenerated 2.29ha of previously degraded land on the edge of our village, now enjoyed daily by locals and visitors. Entirely volunteer-run, we restore habitat using seed stock endemic to our area and raise our own trees and shrubs. Most exciting are the birds, butterflies and squirrel gliders returning to our village.
