Nominate a Nimbin Legend for a Volunteer Award

Legends of Nimbin Volunteer Awards

Nominations are now open for the Legends of Nimbin – the inaugural volunteer awards night hosted by Nimbin Interagency.

Local organisations are encouraged to nominate volunteers on the nimbin.org.au website, choosing from a range of award categories – such as the Energizer Bunny Award, the Rainbow Lorikeet Award and the Cleaning Fairy Award.

View our 11 volunteer award categories…

going.
The Human GPS Award
For the volunteer who always knows where everything is and can guide others perfectly.
The Tech Wizard Award
For the volunteer who saves the day with their tech skills, fixing computers, projectors, or social media posts.
The “Rainbow Lorikeet” Award
For the volunteer who lights up every room with their positivity and joy, bringing colour and happiness wherever they go. The one who knows everyone and naturally connects people.
The Fashionista Award

The “Can Do Anything” Award
For the volunteer who is willing to take on any task, no matter how big or small.

Cleaning Fairy Award
For the volunteer who quietly sweeps in, tidies up, and sprinkles magic wherever it’s needed.
Dinosaur Award
For the volunteer who’s been around since… well, forever. Honouring their long-term dedication, steady presence, and the way they’ve become part of the landscape itself.
Outlander Award
For the volunteer who dances to their own beat, a free spirit who contributes from the heart without belonging to any organisation.
Special Group
“Golden Gumboot” Award
For the group who shows up come rain, shine, mud, wind, flood, fire, or any kind of chaos.

The quirky award categories are part of the enjoyment and celebration of volunteers for the wide range of community organisations in Nimbin. While there may be only one “winner” of each volunteer award, the awards event and nomination process aims to celebrate all volunteers and recognise everyone’s contribution to the Nimbin community.

Nominations for the Legends of Nimbin are now OPEN, and close 17th March.  Awards will be presented at the event on 31st March 2026.
