Celebrating volunteer Andrew

Down the Pothole

I want to send a heartfelt thank-you to NimFM 102.3, our much-loved local community radio station, which keeps the Nimbin area connected through music, stories and grassroots voices. It’s a rare and precious thing to have a volunteer-run station that so genuinely reflects the spirit, diversity and creativity of our community.

A very special thank-you to Andrew for opening his show Down the Pothole, broadcast every Saturday morning from 10am to 12pm, to community organisations and volunteers who have something to share. The show provides a welcoming and supportive space on the airwaves for local initiatives, experiences and voices that matter.

In addition, every second Saturday of the month, interviews are organised specifically for community organisations and volunteers to share their stories, inspire others about volunteering, and communicate current needs, updates and available resources.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a local radio station like NimFM — entirely run by volunteers, in true Nimbin style — supporting connection, participation and community life.

Andrew was nominated online at nimbin.org.au.   Do you know a volunteer in Nimbin that deserves celebrating?   Nominate them here.
